My Story
At my core, I am an educator with a vision—to transform the way we learn, lead, and grow together.
I’ve spent over a decade designing learning experiences that break people free from limitation, helping them reconnect with their inner purpose and creative power. Across universities, communities, and global programs, I’ve created spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered to become agents of change.
But basketball has always been my first love. It’s where I learned trust, rhythm, and resilience. It’s where I felt most alive.
BANTU is where these two worlds meet. A return to the court—with the heart of an educator and the soul of a movement-builder.
Through Ubuntu, I discovered that real leadership doesn’t come from authority—it comes from presence. From being rooted in who you are, and recognizing the humanity in others.
That’s what BANTU is all about: using the game to guide young people back to themselves, back to each other, and toward a deeper sense of purpose.
Why I Created BANTU
BANTU means Becoming A New Tribe of Unity.
It’s not just a program. It’s a space. A circle. A call to lead differently—together.
I created BANTU to help young people lead with clarity, teams to grow with connection, and coaches to foster cultures of care, creativity, and transformation.
Because learning should be human.
Because coaching should be healing.
Because sports, when rooted in purpose, can change everything.
Who I Am
I’m Steven Asei Dantoni Nkoué—educator, learning designer, and leadership facilitator.
I’ve worked across 9+ countries in universities, sport academies, classrooms, and communities—always weaving Ubuntu, creativity, and human-centered design into everything I do.
But above all, I’m an husband, a father, and a believer in spirit-rooted change.
This isn’t a profession. It’s a calling.
